Worship Gathering

Sunday Morning Worship – Weekly Gathering

We welcome everyone to worship with us Sunday mornings at 11am.

What should you expect?

We believe that you can come as you are. Dress however you feel comfortable. Some choose to dress up in a suit and tie while others choose jeans and a t-shirt. We will welcome you just as you are.

It is our vision at St Johns Wesleyan Church to see transformational leaders built in every home. Because of this we have structured our worship service a little different than many churches. We want you to be able to participate in worship with your family or friends.

The order of our service:

• After an opening song or two we will invite the children to come forward to the altar for a prayer. After which they are dismissed for jr. church.

• At the close of the sermon the children will be brought back into the sanctuary to worship with their family. Take this time as an opportunity to teach your children the importance of worship through prayer, giving, and communion.

• The worship time following the sermon is a chance for you to respond to the preached word through any or all of the following:

Prayer at the altar Bringing your tithes and offerings to the altar Partaking in Communion

• We practice an open communion. If you are walking in fellowship with Christ you are welcome to partake in the bread and the juice. We believe that communion is a sacrament which God uses as a means of grace. Please do not partake out of obligation but rather make sure your heart is right with God.

• For children who you as a parent may feel do not understand the mean- ing of communion we offer grapes so they are still able to participate in this act of worship.
